Dr Geoff Vietz is a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne where his focus is on the role of flow manipulation (regulation, urbanisation) on the geomorphology and hydrodynamics of stream systems. He previously spent more than a decade in private consulting, on projects both within Australia and abroad, and maintains a part-time interest in this capacity as the principal of Vietz Consulting. Geoff is president of the River Basin Management Society and is an inaugural fellow of the Peter Cullen Water and Environment Trust. He lives in Melbourne with his wife Pip and their two young daughters.
